Burkina Faso’s Clara founded Clara Design in 1989. She has over twenty years won numerous international honors including as the prestigious: “Diamond Award of African Fashion”, in additionally she was granted the “Biz Awards Africa” Awards conferred by World Confederation of Business. Ames is also the founder and president of the non-profit Association for Supporting the Development of Art Dressing and Textiles, Africa (ASDAVTA). Her website displays some of her splendid designs.
